If you are celebrating a birthday today, congratulations.  Country singer, T. Graham Brown, is sharing this date with you.  He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1954.  He combined a country sound, with a touch of blue-eyed soul styling, to score a number of hits in the late 1980s such as, "Don't Go To Strangers", "Darlene", and "Hell And High Water".  Today marks his 60th birthday!   It's National Candy Corn Day !!!

This day is celebrated annually on October 30th.  Consider it a Pre-Halloween treat and not a trick.

George Renninger, of the Wunderle Candy Company, came up with this sugary masterpiece in the late 1800's.  He wanted this sweet treat to represent the lovely colors of kernels of corn.  In the beginning, Candy Corn was yellow, orange and white, however, today it has become popular in other colors as well, when produced for Christmas, Valentine's Day and also Easter.

Candy Corn was originally made by hand, but today it is now mass produced by machines, however the original ingredients are still being use in the recipe.  That hasn't changed.

Today feel free to grab a bag of Candy Corn and EAT up a storm, but remember tomorrow's Halloween so don't make yourself SICK.

Now Let's P-A-R-T-Y !!!
