Angelo State University’s Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform together at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 9th, in the sanctuary of Sierra Vista United Methodist Church located at 4522 College Hills Blvd. The concert is free and open to the public, so come out and enjoy a unique experience.

'Traditions and Transcriptions' will begin with the Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Constance Kelley, performing “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich and “Whatsoever Things…” by Mark Camphouse. Then the ASU Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Gordon Hicken, will join the Wind Ensemble for performances of “La Polka De Paris” by John Cacavas, “Second Suite in F” by Gustav Holst and “Pas Redoublé” by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Kelley, assistant professor of music, is the ASU interim director of bands. Hicken is the interim assistant director of bands and percussion instructor.
