I knew San Angelo has a Wikipedia page, but I did not know the city has an Urban dictionary page as well.

Here is the definition of San Angelo according to Urban dictionary,

A small town in the middle of Texas that probably wouldn't exist if it didn't have Angelo State University or Goodfellow Air-force Base. It is most famous for the home of the latin/rock group, Los Lonely Boys.

Most of San Angelo's citizens socialize at one of three places: Hastings, Sunset Mall, or Graham Central Station.

It is also metaphorically described as a "whirlpool" or "black hole," meaning that people who come to this town find it hard to permanently leave.

Aaron Waston, a Texas country artist, also wrote a song about it.

"Dude, you'll never leave San Angelo... its a big whirlpool."

Funny stuff, but it looks like this definition is a little outdated. I do not know who jensclayson is, but this person last updated the definition of San Angelo over a dozen years ago. Apparently, the only place we have left to socialize now is Sunset Mall (but nobody goes to the mall anymore, right?)

Hastings is gone (do we socialize at the Burlington Coat Factory that replaced it now?) and so is Graham Central Station.

So, the question becomes, how would you update the Urban definition of San Angelo? I would say we all socialize at the new Texas Burger judging by the crowds I saw they had there over the weekend that even affected the traffic on Knickerbocker Road. Let us know how you would change the definition on Facebook or chat with us on our station app.
