City of San Angelo officials will continue discussing the renovation of the Bradford Elementary School park with neighborhood residents at a meeting at 5:30 p.m. this Thursday, May 8, in the Bradford cafeteria, 1202 E. 22nd St.
The public is encouraged to attend. Parks and Recreation Director Carl White and Construction Manager David Knapp will talk about the design of the park’s renovations based on input received from the public last spring.

Thursday's meeting will help solidify direction for the design, which will be completed in the coming months. The renovation project is anticipated to begin this summer and will take about a year to complete. The renovation will be completed in-house using City labor and $175,000 in half-cent sales tax funds.

The City signed an agreement with the San Angelo Independent School District in which the City will renovate the school’s park for neighborhood use and the SAISD will maintain the property afterward.

White will be joined at the meeting by San Angelo ISD Director of Bond Planning & Construction Steve Van Hoozer, Parks Superintendent Roger Havlak and Assistant Superintendent Mike Hitchcock.
