Ernest Charlesworth, MD, dermatologist, is retiring from Shannon Clinic. He has been a part of the medical staff at Shannon since June 1999.
A retirement reception is scheduled for this Thursday, May 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Shannon Women’s & Children’ Conference Room, 201 E. Harris. Current and former patients, staff and the public are invited to attend.

Dr. Charlesworth received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then completed his internal medicine and dermatology residencies at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He also completed an allergy and immunology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Dr. Charlesworth has practiced dermatology for more than 35 years. He has served as a flight medical officer and clinical associate professor. In April of 1995, he retired as Colonel from the United States Air Force Medical Corps. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Allergy & Immunology, and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Allergy & Immunology, and Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology.
