AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The Texas House thought it had killed school vouchers.

The Senate is resurrecting them. A Senate committee has attached a voucher plan for special education children to a $1.6 billion House proposal to begin overhauling Texas' school finance system.

Texas now could get both a school finance fix and vouchers _ or neither. That, along with 'religious refusal' for pharmacists and bills banning texting while driving and 'raising the age' are key issues to watch in the Legislature's waning days.
