San Angelo Town Hall Meeting on Neighborhood Security

Neighborhood security will be the focus of a town hall forum hosted by District 5 City Councilman Lane Carter next Tuesday.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at MHMR Services for the Concho Valley, 1501 W. Beauregard Ave. The public is invited.

The meeting will be a follow-up to a discussion Councilman Carter hosted two months ago after a spate of break-ins in the Santa Rita area. Carter will also provide updates on changes in trash service that will take effect April 1 and about the replacement of a traffic light at South Bryant Boulevard and Washington Drive.

The change in trash service will involve alternating weeks between collecting recyclables and picking up bulk items, such as bags of yard waste and old sofas. Tan trash bins will still be emptied weekly. The rates customers pay will not change.
