San Angelo COVID-19 Numbers Skyrocket in June

There has been a significant increase in COVID cases across the state.  The hot spots are the big cities such as San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Austin but San Angelo saw a huge increase as well.

• In the last 7 days we’ve added 133 new cases
• 4 weeks ago, there were no hospitalizations – Currently there are 15
• 180% increase in cases in June (since March)

The numbers are staggering right now:

• Total positive cases: 379
• Active cases: 183
• Currently hospitalized: 15
•  77% of cases are under the age of 49

There were another 45 cases over the weekend, and an additional 21 today.
