Angelo State University made the decision some time back to begin the Spring 2021 semester on Mon, Jan. 25th. The semester will end as originally scheduled on Friday, May 14th.

This schedule will eliminate spring break.
Dual-credit courses taught in high schools are subject to their respective high schools’ schedules.

This decision was made in consultation with the academic and executive leadership of ASU with input from other stakeholders on campus. This move is part of the continued effort to protect the university community from the potential spread of COVID-19

Members of the faculty, students and staff were all notified of the change with plenty of advance notice. As in the fall, ASU understands that this is an unprecedented change to the university calendar.

ASU released a statement concerning COVID-19 saying...At Angelo State, we take care of our own. We are preparing to return to campus for the Spring 2021 semester, continuing to keep the health, safety and well-being of the entire Ram Family top of mind.

Even though the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are committed to providing you with the best campus experience possible, all while prioritizing measures to keep the Ram Family healthy.

We will follow the guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in all areas of campus. We are also establishing best practices to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness.

We are happy vaccines are in production, and you can learn more about their distribution from the Centers for Disease Control.

You will continue to receive the academic excellence you are accustomed to. Classes will be taught in face-to-face, online and hybrid formats this spring.

While Angelo State may still be focused on precautions to keep everyone well this spring, our commitment to you will not change. We will remain Ram Family strong, and we will get through this, together.
