It is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused into trauma patients regardless of their blood type.  This is vitally important in emergencies when there is no time to perform a blood type test!

Shannon Medical Center and United Blood Services encourage you to help them replenish the blood supply by donating at the Shannon Medical Center blood drive on Wednesday, October 19th.  It will be on the 2nd floor in the Legacy Rooms from 9am – 6.00pm.
