Here's some good news and a big sign the world is opening up after the corona virus pandemic. The Austin City Limit Festival featuring headliner George Strait sold out in record time yesterday.

If you plan on heading east from San Angelo in the Fall to attend, I hope you got your tickets for the festival that returns after a one year absence. ACL Fest will be held at Zilker Park for two weekends in October.

The multi-genre festival includes others headliners Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Rufus Du Sol, Miley Cyrus, Erykah Badu and more. The dates for the fest are set for October 1st through the 3rd and October 8th through the 10th.

Austin mayor Steven Adler told Billboard the city will keep patrons safe for visitors to the capital city.

“Music is coming back strong to the Live Music Capital of the World,” said Austin Mayor Steve Adler. “The return of Austin City Limits as an in-person festival celebrates that our efforts as a community to become vaccinated are working. Health and safety remain our top priority, and we will work closely with the organizers and Austin Public Health to ensure ACL Fest is in line with our health standards. We must continue to get everyone vaccinated and keep up our success.”

No doubt having the King of Country Music at ACL Fest was a big factor in the record sellout and it's good to know people are ready to get out and get back to concerts and festivals.

And speaking of concerts! Don't forget! You can win tickets, airfare, a hotel stay, plus $500 spending cash to see Eric Church live for the kick off of his "Gather Again" tour in Lexington, Kentucky here.
