Watching Your Team Lose Could Give You A Heart Attack
We all know watching your team blow a game is devastating, especially one they should have won. But it turns out watching this happen could actually have very adverse affects on your health.
Dr. Lukasz Kuzma of the Medical University of Bialystok, Poland said in a recent article:
Our study shows that poor results from the local professional football team coincided with more heart attacks in male residents. The findings suggest that the mental and emotional stress of defeat can provoke cardiac events.
These studies were done on men after their soccer team lost matches.
The study researched one specific soccer team and saw a 26% rise in heart attack victims after the team suffered a loss.
Just imagine the results if they researched an exciting sport.
