Morgan Wallen Looks Back on the Past in Breezy ‘Chasin’ You’ Video
Morgan Wallen just can't seem to get his ex out of his head in the "Chasin' You" music video. Filmed while driving around Nashville in a convertible, the black and white clip finds Wallen feeling ... haunted.
The Taste of Country RISERS rising star wrote the reflective tune with Craig Wiseman and Jamie Moore. His sultry vocals are the star of the chorus, when he admits he can't stop chasing the girl he used to know, who occasionally appears in the car with him as he drives.
Morgan Wallen's Jason Isbell Cover Is Unreal:
"Chasing you like a shot of whiskey / Burning going down, burning going down / Chasing you like those goodbye taillights / Heading west to anywhere out of this no where town / Chasing that freedom, chasing that feeling that got gone too soon / Chasing that you and me, I only see in my rear view / Yeah, I'm laying every night holding someone new / Still chasing you, still chasing you," Wallen sings on the chorus.
The video comes on the tail of his If I Know Me Tour, which kicked off on Jan. 4 and runs through March.
"Chasin' You" is featured on Wallen's debut album If I Know Me, which was released last April. Following the success of chart-topper "Up Down" — which featured his buddies Tyler and Brian of Florida Georgia Line — Wallen released "Whiskey Glasses" as his second country radio single.
"People aren’t just listening to my single, but they are listening to the whole album—and that’s really encouraging to me because you just never know what’s going to happen when you put something out," he tells Taste of Country. "You don’t even know if people will like one song, so if the full project is something they like and love, it’s very humbling, and it makes you work even harder."
