LeAnn Rimes will be a special guest on the HGTV reboot of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The country singer will appear in one episode of the series, hosted by Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, which finds expert home-builders and designers helping families in need.

In a statement, Rimes shares that she "was an avid fan of the original Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," and jumped at the opportunity to be involved in its revival.

“It’s an honor to help renovate a dream home for a deserving family, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work," she adds (quote via PopCulture.com).

“LeAnn is passionate about inspiring people, and she has connected with millions of fans through her music,” HGTV President Jane Latman says. “We are excited to have her on our renovation team to make a difference in the lives of these special families.”

Rimes' Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode will also feature designers Darren Keefe, Breegan Jane and Carrie Locklyn. Other special guests include Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, Hidden Potential's Jasmine Roth and Bargain Mansions personality Tamara Day (Bargain Mansions), according to Country Living. The first episodes of the reboot were shot in Clovis, Calif., and Kern County, Calif.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition originally aired on ABC from 2003 through 2012. In each episode, the show's cast of builders and designers were assisted by locals in remodeling a deserving family's home in just one week, while the family enjoyed a vacation. Carpenter Ty Pennington was the show's original host; he is set to guest star on the rebooted version.

The new version of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is set to premiere in early 2020, in a 10-episode season. Both an official premiere date and the air date of Rimes' episode have yet to be announced.
