Regardless of which team wins game 3 tonight, of the 2016 World Series, Wrigley Field will be the scene of history in the making.

The last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 1908, this ball park didn't even exist.

It was first constructed in 1914 under the name of Weeghman Park. The Cubs played their first game there on April 20, 1916.

Chewing gum magnate, William Wrigley Jr., purchased The Cubs in 1921, from then through 1926 the ball park was known simply as Cubs Park.

Finally in 1927, the stadium's name was changed to the now famous Wrigley Field.

The last year that this landmark hosted a World Series game was 1945. Yes, it's been 71 years.

Tonight that all changes, as the Cubs host the Cleveland Indians for game number 3 of this year's Fall Classic. It will also be home to games 4 and 5 of this year's series.
