Cole Swindell has shared his collaboration with Dierks Bentley, "Flatliner," as his next single. Readers can press play below to hear the track.

"Flatliner" opens up with the sounds of (appropriately) a flatlining heart monitor. In the uptempo tune, Swindell sings about a girl who "stops him in his boots."

"Sippin' on this seven-seven / Never been this close to heaven / Got the pretty turned up to 11 / Droppin' them dead on the dance floor," the chorus goes. "Somebody better call a doctor / She's a little heart-stopper / I'm talkin' breaker-breaker-one-niner / She's a flatliner."

Bentley's lines in "Flatliner" are a bit more relaxed than Swindell's fast-paced vocals: "Oh my, I see the light / I don't mean the neon kind / One kiss from you tonight will send me on to the other side."

Swindell tells Country Countdown USA that he originally wrote the song "around four years ago" for Bentley.

"I wrote it for him, sent it to him and never heard from him. I don’t know if he heard it or didn’t like it, but a year or so ago, I was texting with him and sent it to him, and he loved it," Swindell explains. "We talked about it for a while, and sure enough, we got to do it, and it’s gonna be awesome. I’m just very excited to be singing with Dierks.”

"Flatliner" comes from Swindell's second album, You Should Be Here, which was released in May of 2016. It is available for download on iTunes.
