The first one is  “New Year, New Business: Essentials to Startup” on Tuesday, January 12th at 6:00 p.m. at no cost.

Ready to turn that business idea into a reality? Join the ASU-SBDC professional staff as they present a comprehensive, basics of starting a new business seminar for entrepreneurs and new business owners. They will help answer your basic business start-up questions and share resources that will help you along the way. At this NO-FEE seminar, you will learn the basics of writing a business plan, how to estimate start-up costs, contacts and resources you will need, and more. You will receive an “Essentials of Starting a New Business” Workbook, and a “Starting a Business in San Angelo” guide to help you begin.

The speaker will be James V Leavelle, Certified Business Advisor.

The 2nd training event will be  “Finding Funding for Your Business” on Wednesday, January 13th at 6:00 p.m. for no cost.

Are you looking for funding to start or expand your business? Not sure what the best option may be or even what is available? Attend this seminar to learn about the many funding options available and how to go about obtaining them. Topics include - overview of sources of start-up funding, alternative financing options (such as venture funding and angel investors), SBA loan guarantees, how to put together a loan proposal, tips on what the banker is looking for, how to estimate your funding needs, and more. Before you head to the bank, attend this training event!
