48th Terlingua Chili Championship!

The weather was perfect for the 48th Terlingua International Chili Championship at Rancho CASI de los Chisos, 7 miles East of Lajitas.

The sun comes up over the Chisos Mountains and it's time to see who's the best Chili Cook and Showteam!

272 Chili cooks are competing to see who will take this Wendell Rankin stove and lots of
other great prizes home as the 2014 Champion!

It's High Noon and time to turn in the chili for judging!

The Pirates of the Medina from the San Antonio area will take 2nd Place in Large Show!

The Pink Pig Show Team is a Winner in the 1 Person Show Category!

Gator on the loose with fun games!

Stateline Chili Showteam wins 1st Place Large Show!

This team from Wisconsin is the Small Show Team Champion!

While show is going on, the judges have a big job in deciding who's got the best chili!

Cooks from all across the United States are having fun in Terlingua!

The winning number has been announced, and here come's the new Champion to the Stage!

Final results from all rounds of judging are posted at the front of the stage so everyone can
see how they finished.

These current and former CASI Directors love to have fun, but they also have the responsibility of making sure the biggest chili cookoff on the planet runs smoothly. They
do a great job and we appreciate all their hard work!
