The headliner for January 16th will be the popular country music group Sawyer Brown.

The group currently has twenty studio albums, of which three have been certified gold in the United States for sales of 500,000 copies. More than fifty of their singles have entered the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three Number One singles. Sawyer Brown also received a Horizon Award from the Country Music Association in 1985, as well as a Vocal Group of the Year award in 1997 from the Academy of Country Music and 5 Vocal Band Of The Year Awards from the TNN Music City News Country Awards.

Charlie Chase, longtime co-host of the popular “Crook and Chase” talk show on the Nashville Network will return to anchor the Rehab 2016 host desk. Texas legend Red Steagall will be back along with The Boys in the Bunkhouse for the show. Other “regulars” lined up to appear are Brad Maule (General Hospital) and Twyla Foreman.

Television stations in Abilene, San Angelo, Austin, Corpus Christi, Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, Amarillo, Waco/Temple and Wichita Falls/Lawton, Oklahoma carry the show live. The show will again be streaming live at WestTexasRehab.org.

Also for REHAB 2016, they are again engaging social media, Facebook and Twitter, like never before. We have a special hashtag that we would like you to use when you post about REHAB 2016, it is #westtexasrehab. Their Twitter handle is @westtexasrehab and their Facebook page is West Texas Rehab Center.

In addition to the telethon, an annual internet auction of merchandise and services provided by friends and businesses will take bids at WestTexasRehab.org.  Bids will be accepted until midnight on January 16th. Auction items will be on display at the Abilene Civic Center beginning at 6 pm on the 16th. An auction television show featuring all the items airs in Abilene and San Angelo from 5:30 to 7 on the night of the telethon.

The annual telethon and auction raises more than one million dollars to help make it possible for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center to serve more than 500 patients each day regardless of their financial circumstance.  The Center was established in 1953 as a private non-profit outpatient rehabilitation center and has become one of the largest, most comprehensive facilities of its kind in the nation. The Rehab, which is beginning its 63rd year, operates facilities in Abilene, San Angelo and Ozona.

Tickets to the show are $12 each for those who like to be a part of the Abilene Civic Center audience for this entertainment event. Tickets can be purchased at the West Texas Rehabilitation Center and at the Abilene Civic Center box office.

Rehab 2016 will air live and originates from the Abilene Civic Center on Saturday, January 16th.
