Producers Livestock Auction in San Angelo hosted the 25th annual Concho Valley Round-Up for Rehab cattle and sheep sale on September 22, 2016. When the dust had cleared in the sale barn, $32,465 had been raised for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

That amount brings the overall total for the 2016 Concho Valley Round-Up for Rehab to a whopping $68,465, with additional community events still to come. Round-Up for Rehab is celebrating its 57th anniversary of neighbor helping neighbor.

Making their way through the ring were 14 head of livestock.  In addition to livestock, 6 miscellaneous items from a handcrafted knife to livestock feed were also sold to support the Center. Round-Up Co-Chairmen Bob Helmers and Jody Frey communicated their appreciation to donors, buyers and volunteers who helped make the day’s event a success.  Special thanks were offered to Bar H Brangus Ranch, Mayer Ranch, Rocker B Ranch, Lipan Cattle Feeders, Tim and Rexann Leary, Kevin and Cindy Spreen, Upton Ranch, Billy Hausenfluck, and Moore Ranch for the animal donations.

Special recognition was also given to Len Dougherty, YellowHouse Machinery Company, Franks Manufacturing Co. Inc., Angelo Pellets, Rowena Milling Company, and GM Welding Supply for their donation of auction items to help the community and support Rehab. A big thank you was expressed for everyone who donated on a cash call before Thursday’s auction. A final special thank you goes out to the local Round-Up communities of Sonora, Sterling City, Christoval, Eldorado, Ballinger, and the Concho Valley County chairmen who encouraged their communities to participate in this year’s Round-Up efforts.  A very special thank you goes to Producers Livestock Auction and staff for their tireless efforts in ensuring that this aspect of Round-Up has been successful now for 25 years. Without their special support, we would not be able to see the 500 patients that come through their doors daily.

Round-Up sales and events still on the fall schedule will be at Stephenville on October 5th, Junction on October 12th, Sweetwater on November 1st, and Coleman on November 2nd.  For more information about the Round-Up or West Texas Rehab Center services, contact:
