TX. Ladies’ Chili Championship

191 Ladies went to Starcke Park in Seguin for the 46th Texas Ladies State Chili Championship!

This is one of the great prizes for the Champion, a hand painted Wendell Rankin stove!

15 ladies under the age of 17 competed for the Little Miss Ladies State Chili Championship! All these girls did a great job with minimal supervision and assistance!

It takes lots of judges for the first round of judging! Each judge at each table tastes 11-12 chilis, and the best scores from the 1st round move on to subsequent rounds of judging.

Tatas and Tutus Show Team will take 3rd place in show with this fun "wet t-shirt toss" game!

Patti Corcoran's "Sidewinder Chili" showteam takes 2nd Place!

Dusty Hudspeth's "Gypsy Chili Chicks" Team Wins 1st Place Show and is automatically qualified for the Terlingua International Chili Championship!

The Winning number has been announced and verified, and the Winner is in shock! Boomer escorts her to the front of the stage. This was Boomer's 25th year as the Master of Ceremonies for Ladies' State.

She caught her breath and now it's all smiles for Maria Rerich of Weimer,Tx, the 2016 Texas Ladies' State Chili Champion!
