Shania Twain’s Time in Las Vegas Is Coming to an End
After two years, Shania Twain will finally bid farewell to Sin City. The singer's residency in Last Vegas will draw to a close on Dec. 13, 2014.
Twain began her series of shows at the famous Caesars Palace in November of 2012. Her just-announced final 16 Shania: Still the One shows will run from October through December.
"I can't thank Las Vegas enough," Twain says in a statement that shows her affection for the city. In the same statement, the Canadian singer calls Vegas "home" -- and rightfully so. While there, Twain made a few important contributions, including launching an after-school program in an underprivileged school.
"I started the first international Shania Kids Can clubhouse in Las Vegas because I love this city, and my time here has given me more than anyone can ever know," she says.
Twain's shows in Nevada have been nothing short of spectacular. She has a live band, trained horses and a flying motorcycle. Her first grand entrance onto the historic stage was so grand that traffic on the Strip was stopped so her horses -- which she rode in -- could come in with her.
By the end of the year, she'll have performed more than a hundred shows in Sin City.
