Mandy Bogart is currently a St. Jude's patient. She was nice enough to stop by the studio to chat with us about her experiences with cancer and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She took the time to tell us her experience with being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia type B cell, or otherwise known as ALL. She is so brave as she tells of her experience with cancer, with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and her life afterwards.

St. Jude Children's Hospital strives to provide the best environment they can for their patients and their families. Mandy points out that the St. Jude Hospital doesn't feel like a hospital. When you walk in you see kids playing, families constantly visiting, and the children's artwork proudly displayed. The St. Jude's doctors don't seem like 'real' doctors and nurses at all, but more like family, 'aunts' as Mandy says.

Mandy is currently homebound which means that she doesn't go to school, but instead has a teacher come to her home a couple times a week to help her get through her school work. If she were at St. Jude's then she would attend the School Program Presented By Target that they have onsite.
