Man Falls to Death Downtown

At approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, San Angelo Police were dispatched to 378 S. Chadbourne Street for the report of an unconscious subject.
Upon arrival, police were met by San Angelo Fire Department personnel who advised that a man had fallen from a telephone tower and was deceased.

Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard responded to the location and officially pronounced the death.

Police learned the victim, a contractor with MTSI out of Richardson, Texas, was approximately one hundred forty feet above ground doing repair work on the tower when he experienced issues with his safety equipment and fell to his death.
