San Angelo Events for This Memorial Day Weekend

There's plenty of things to do with the whole family.  From chilli cook-offs to Memorial Tributes and band concerts, take it all in on your three day weekend.  Saturday, May 26th:

The DESK Chili Cookoff will be at the Water Valley Park today with chili and bean competitions, raffles and more.  Come out and cook a pot of chili or stop by and judge, starting at noon.  Call Janice at 650-1854 for more info.

Sunday, May 27th:

The Chili Legends Memorial Cookoff is today at the Water Valley Park.  Enjoy chili cooking, raffles, a cake auction and more.  Judges are needed at 2:00 pm and Janice has all the details at 650-1854.

Monday,  May 28th,  Memorial Day:
Join us and honor our Veterans today.  The Vietnam Veterans of America will have their tribute at 10:00 am, at the Mathis Field Vietnam Memorial, and the All Veterans Council will have theirs at 6:00 pm at the County Courthouse Lawn.  Everyone is invited to both these events.  if you would like more details, call Laura at 659-6560.

Today is the third and final day of chili cookoffs at the Water Valley Park.  Today's cookoff benefits local charities.  Judges are needed at noon today.  Call Janice at 650-1854 for more information.

The San Angelo Community Band will open their 24th Season this evening at 7:00 pm at the Paseo's West Pavilion.  Bring your lawn chair and enjoy lots of patriotic music.  Call 651-7141 for more details.
