Kid’s Parade & BBQ in Rowena This Saturday!

Enjoy a Kid's Parade and the Annual Barbeque Cookoff in Rowena this Saturday!
The Rowena VFW Children’s Parade is this Saturday Morning beginning at 10:45 beside the Fire Hall. All kids are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, wagons, and battery powered cars. Becky Wood can tell you more at 656-0029.

Rowena Lions Club annual "Meet You at the Square"  BBQ cookoff, on the square in downtown, Rowena, Tx.  is this  Saturday, July 5, 2014.

Contests include: brisket, pork ribs, chicken, beans, and margaritas. $50 per team enters you in all contests.  Individual margarita entries are $10.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st-3rd place in each food contest. (1st-2nd places for margaritas)  Also, the cookoff overall grand prize is $350.  The overall runnerup will win $150.

BBQ sandwiches, refreshments, and ice will be for sale, during the day, by the Rowena 4H club.
