This is a great time to collect seeds for spring planting and there are many techniques for propagating plants.
In this month’s Lunch ‘n’ Learn class Allison Watkins, AgriLife Extension Horticulturist, will be talking about how to propagate plants from cuttings, leaf sections, division and more. Propagating is a way to get free plants you can add to your garden or share with your friends.

The class is this Friday, January 10 from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your questions about other landscape challenges, too. The class will be held in the Commissioners’ Court on the second floor of the Edd B. Keys building, 113 W. Beauregard. Cost is only $5 per class.

Feel free to bring your lunch if you are on your lunch hour. The proceeds from the classes will go to The People/Plant Connection to build the education garden in Padron Park, formerly Rio Vista Park.

If you would like more information about The People/Plant Connection, call 325-656-3104. For questions about the classes call Allison Watkins at the County Extension office, 325-659-6528.
