Car Crashes Into San Angelo Subway

At approximately 3:20 am Wednesday morning, San Angelo Police Officers responded to the 200 block of N. Koenigheim in response to a motor vehicle accident.   Officers located the vehicle at 202 N. Koenigheim crashed into the Subway restaurant.
The vehicle, 2003 Ford Taurus,  driven by Ryan Bakurza was traveling northbound on Koenigheim when it left the roadway in the 200 block and crashed into the southwest corner of the building.  Bazkura was the only occupant of the vehicle and was not injured in the crash.

Subsequent to the field investigation, it was determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.    Officers also found less than 2 ounces of marijuana and less than a gram of methamphetamine on Bazkura during the investigation.   Bazkura was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of Marijuana and a Controlled Substance, and cited for a Driving with a Suspended License and Failure to Control Speed.

The monetary damages to the building where not known at the time the report was written.
