Birthdays For August 12th + Middle Child’s Day

If this is your birthday, congratulations! Two country music legends were also born on this date. Porter Wagoner, born in Howell County, Missouri, in 1927. Known for his rhinestone suits, he develops a long-running syndicated TV show in which he introduces Dolly Parton as a duet partner. A member of the Grand Ole Opry beginning in 1957, he joins the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2002. Also born on this date, Buck Owens, born in Sherman, Texas, in 1929. Raised in California, he adds a rock 'n' roll spirit to country music, becoming a major part of the Bakersfield Sound. He co-hosts "Hee Haw" for more than 15 years on his way into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

This Is Middle Child's Day!  

If you grew up the middle child with both older and younger siblings, you know the feeling a from a very personal perspective.

The first born is a very special. He, or she, has all of mom and dad for a while before the second child comes along. The final child is and always will be the baby of the family.  Older and younger children tend to be more outgoing, or extroverted.

The middle child tends to be more introverted, quieter, perhaps a bit of a loner.

Today, we place into the limelight, on every middle child. Here's to a little well deserved recognition to the  wonderful and special middle child in the family.
