It's Left Hander's Day!

Interesting facts and trivia about left handed people:

Lefties are referred to as "southpaws".  That term started in baseball to describe a left handed pitcher.

Only around 10% of the population is left handed.

Back in the 1600's folks, thought of left handers as witches and warlocks.

The fear of left-handedness or things on the left side is known as sinistrophobia.

Everyone is a Left Hander in Left Hand, West Virginia.

Right handed people use the left side of their brain, while left handed people use their right side, proving that only lefties are in their right mind.

The Lefthander's Slogan:  "Everyone is born right-handed.  Only the greatest overcome it".

It seems that the world around us is built for right handers, but remember today and every day:  Lefties have rights. So, take a moment today to appreciate your left handed friends and relatives.
