Best Wishes to all who are celebrating today!  Nineteen years ago today, Dwight Yoakam halted his rehearsal for the Country Music Association awards show at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, to watch the verdict in O.J. Simpson's trial handed down.  O.J. was found not guilty, and after that, Dwight went back to work.   1989 - Marty Stuart's album "Hillbilly Rock" is released on MCA.

1992 - The #1 song on Billboard's country chart is Collin Ray's "In This Life".

1998 - Willie Nelson stages Farm Aid '98 at the New World Music Theatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Artists participating included:  Neil Young, Brian Wilson, Michael Peterson, Toby keith, Vern Gosdin, David Allan Coe, K.T. Oslin, Steve Earle, John Mellencamp, and Martina McBride.

1998 - "Where The Green Grass Grows", by Tim McGraw is #1 on the Billboard country chart.

2002 - The video for Faith Hill's "Cry",  premieres on CMT.

2013 - The single "Knee Deep" by Zac Brown Band featuring Jimmy Buffett is certified gold, platinum, and double-platinum and another song, "Colder Weather" goes platinum.
