Birthdays And Anniversaries For January 7th + Bobblehead Day

If this is your birthday, congratulations.  You are celebrating along with two country music entertainers today.  David Lee Murphy, born in Herrin, Illinois, in 1959.  He scores outlaw-influenced hits during the 1990s with "Dust On The Bottle," "Party Crowd" and "Every Time I Get Around You." As a songwriter, he pens several hits for other acts, including "Big Green Tractor," "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not" and "Living In Fast Forward".  Happy 56th, David Lee.  John Rich, born in Amarillo, Texas, in 1974.  After a brief stint, with the group Lonestar, he re-emerges in 2004 as one-half of the duo, Big & Rich and as a solo artist. He also writes hits for other acts, including "Redneck Woman," "Mississippi Girl" and "Hicktown".  Happy 41st, John.    

It's National Bobblehead Day! 

What a day to celebrate all spring-connected, head bobbing figurines.

Bobbleheads are nothing new.  They actually have been around for over 100 years and come in different shapes and sizes.  The most popular depict athletes, mascots, cartoon characters and celebrities.

Next year, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is set to open in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  At that time, they promise the world's largest collection of these treasured items.  I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait.
