The 26th Bike MS Cactus & Crude Bike Tour was the best ever! There was a new route from Midland to Lamesa on Day 1, from Lamesa to Lubbock on Day 2. Over 200 riders
braved the heat to ride for friends and family who deal with Multiple Sclerosis every day.

Over 70,000 Texans fight a daily battle with MS, a disease that attacks the nervous system and can cause a wide variety of health issues and mobility problems. All funds raised will fund MS research and a variety of initiatives that improve the quality for daily life, including new drugs that help with the symptoms of MS. There is no cure for MS at this time, but thanks to all the great riders, volunteers, and sponsors of Bike MS, the cure
is getting closer each day! Over $250,000.00 has been raised so far, and that total will
go up after all the donations have been received in the next few weeks.

Apache is the title sponsor of Bike MS! They not only provide the monetary sponsorship, but they also have lots of riders and volunteers participating! Their team is ready to lead
the riders out on Saturday Morning.

Over 200 riders line up for a 7am start! These folks will get a little "cool" riding time before
the sun starts baking everybody.

Bike MS is underway!

Townsquare Media of San Angelo has sponsored Bike MS for the past 11 years.

Rest stop volunteers are waiting to help each rider to stay hydrated for the long ride.

Ok, I'm ready to ride another 10 miles to the next rest stop!

Let's ride!

A bicycle built for 2!

Gotta love that hat, and we love Renea for all her help cheering on all the riders!

Our hats are off to Ed Todd! He's in his 70's and rides the Cactus & Crude every year! We all can hope to be in that type of shape when we get to be his age!

Love the bicycle spin art and the grass skirts gentlemen!

Kent checks his emails before heading out of Lamesa on day 2.

The Hott Wheels Team from Houston will lead everyone out from Lamesa on Day 2.

Despite the DJ's technical difficulties, the riders roll on toward Lubbock!

I'm good, just give me my bottle! This is a future rider or rest stop volunteer!

These ladies are all along the route cheering on "The Carney Men"! The Carney Men team is the largest team and they raise a ton of cash every year to Fight MS!

The last rest stop before the finish line! Thanks to all the Rest Stop Volunteers and the Texas State Guard!

The Carney Men and their support crew pose for a quick picture, then it's time for food, shade, and refreshments!

The last 2 riders roll in to the Caprock Winery in Lubbock! Thanks again to all the riders,
volunteers, sponsors, ham radio clubs, and everyone who made this ride a huge success!
