Brandi Carlile, Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price and many more are booked for Woodstock 2019, a 50th anniversary iteration of the iconic music festival held in New York State in 1969. The event boasts an eclectic lineup of rock and folk acts, all of whom will take the stage over three days in mid-August.

Woodstock 2019 is scheduled for Aug. 16-8 in Watkins Glen, N.Y. On Friday (Aug. 16), the lineup includes the Lumineers, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Maggie Rogers, Anderson EastLarkin Poe and more. Saturday (Aug. 17), Simpson, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Price, Jade Bird and Amy Helm, plus many others, will all take the stage. On Sunday (Aug. 18), Carlile, the Marcus King Band, John Craigie and more will help conclude the event.

The original Woodstock festival took place Aug. 15-17, 1969, at a dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains in New York State. Artie Kornfeld, Michael Lang and John P. Roberts founded the event; Lang is the man behind the 2019 version of Woodstock.

“Woodstock 1969 was a reaction by the youth of its time and the conditions we faced,” says Lang on the new Woodstock festival's website. “We proved that it is possible to live together in harmony and with compassion … with only our best selves represented. Woodstock gave people around the world hope, which is why I think it remains relevant today.”

Tickets for Woodstock 2019 are scheduled to go on sale on April 22. More information is available at Woodstock.com.
