Food delivery apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats are great tools that make life so much easier when you want to order food but don’t want to leave your home. While these platforms are super helpful about 90 percent of the time, there are a few cases where things go wrong and you question if you ever want to use that app again.

Some of those instances include your food getting delivered to the wrong address, the driver eating part of your order, and apparently the driver getting arrested before they can deliver the food to your house.

That is exactly what happened to TikTok user Anastasia Elsinger. She has over 23,000 followers on an account that only has one video. That video now has over 9,000,000 views and 3.7 million likes after being up on TikTok for only 19 hours.

The video was taken on her Ring doorbell camera and shows a police officer walking up to the door with what looks like a drink and two bags of food from Arby’s. The officer rings the doorbell and waits for Elslinger to come to the door. Once she opens the door, he explains that her DoorDash driver was "arrested for warrants he didn't take care of." He said that he figured he would complete the delivery for her as she laughs about the unexpected situation.

If I saw a police officer standing at my door, I'd be concerned that something bad happened, so I can only imagine that she was confused until the officer explained the situation. I give major props to the police officer for being so kind and going out of his way to deliver the food to Elslinger. He seemed to find it fun and I'm sure they both came out of this experience with a good story that they will be telling for a long time.

I guess this just provides something else to be aware of when ordering through a food delivery app. Just in case your delivery driver gets arrested, keep your hopes up that a kind police officer might complete the order for you.
