Information and representatives from several veterans outreach organizations will be available starting at 10am on Saturday, May 23rd, at the San Angelo Elks Lodge # 1880 at 2121 S. Chadbourne.

Organizations that will present information/education include: Combat Veterans Outreach, Howard College, Tom Green County Veterans Services, Fleet Reserve Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rust Street Ministries, and others. The information that will be provided is intended to help veterans find services that may help them meet their everyday needs.

Veterans & their families are invited to stay for a free brisket lunch. The meal will be served from 11 until 3. The Elks Lodge would like to invite the community to come and honor the veterans and enjoy lunch with them. A $10 donation to the Elks lodge will help with the cost of the meal which will include brisket, beans, potato salad, cole slaw and drinks.

This program is on the Saturday before Memorial Day, and will include thanks to all who have served in the military, whether they are retired or active. If you know a vet, let them know about this event. There will be games and prizes for the children. For those that may not be able to stay and eat that day, to go meals will be available. This will be a great opportunity for the veterans to meet several outreach providers in one location.
