Tyler Childers dropped a whole bunch of big news on Thursday morning (May 16): A new song is out now; a new album is coming this summer; a headlining tour is scheduled; and he's got a new partnership with a major label.

Readers can press play above to hear "House Fire," the lead track from Childers' sophomore album, Country Squire. The song debuted with an official YouTube premiere early Thursday morning, its accompanying music video featuring a pair of dancers breaking it down to Childers' foot-stompin' new song.

Country Squire is due out on Aug. 2, a press release reports, and is available for pre-order now. The project's nine tracks, all written by Childers, were produced by Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson, who were also behind Childers' debut record, 2017's Purgatory. Childers recorded the album at the Butcher Shoppe in Nashville. A full track listing is below.

"I hope that people in the area that I grew up in find something they can relate to," says Childers, a native of Lawrence County, Ky. "I hope that I’m doing my people justice and I hope that maybe someone from somewhere else can get a glimpse of the life of a Kentucky boy.”

Country Squire will be Childers' first album released in partnership with Sony Music's RCA Records, via Childers' Hickman Hollar Records. Further details about that partnership have not yet been made available.

In support of Country Squire, Childers' Fall 2019 headlining tour -- dubbed the Country Squire Run -- will begin in early October and keep Childers on the road through late December. He'll play in Boston, Mass.; Philadelphia, Pa.; and more. Fans can visit TylerChildersMusic.com for full details.

Named to a number of "artists to watch" and "best of" lists thanks to his musical output thus far, Childers is the Americana Music Association's 2018 Emerging Artist of the Year.
