The Penny Tap House continues to bring you a diversified lineup of great bands and another one will take their stage this Friday, June 3rd as Two Tons Of Steel comes to San Angelo!

Two Tons Of Steel has been recording and touring with their unique brand of Texas music since forming in San Antonio in 1994 and released their first album under the original band name "Dead Crickets". They changed their name to Two Tons Of Steel in 1996 and became so popular that they appeared on the cover of Billboard Magazine that same year.

Over the years they have released numerous successful albums and singles and even picked up a sponsorship deal with Lone Star Beer! Now that's Texas!!

They travel nationwide and abroad playing everywhere from the Grand Ole’ Opry in Nashville to the National Theater in Havana, Cuba, as well as European tours. The band also recorded a live album at the legendary Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas and they are coming to The Penny Tap House this Friday to bring you an awesome concert experience.

Some have referred to the bands sound as a special brand of country meets punk. Whatever you want to call it, 25 years later, the band Two Tons Of Steel is still going strong and in high demand!!
