Tom Jackson Retiring After 29 years On ESPN
He really has only worked for 2 companies in his career, first as a star NFL player for the Denver Broncos and later joining ESPN in 1987.
His first job at the World Wide Leader In Sports, was co-hosting the Sunday pregame show, NFL GameDay. Later that same year he was teamed with Chris Berman, for NFL Prime Time, which continued through 2005.
More recently Tom has been a large part of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown and a main stay with the channel's year-round coverage of the NFL.
In the course of his years with ESPN, Jackson picked up a Sports Emmy award as Outstanding Studio Analyst in 2009, and in 2015 he received the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Pet Rozelle Radio-Television Award.
His final assignment for ESPN, will be covering the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement this weekend in Canton, Ohio.
