The Concho Christmas Celebration Is Back On Saturday
Last Saturday, all that rain forced the postponement of The Concho Christmas Celebration and Lights of Christmas Parade. This Saturday December 10th, the events will go on.
What a difference a week makes. With no rain forecast, and a temperature in the 40s, the weather should be much improved.
Donna Donaldson, event coordinator, provided us with the updated schedule.
It all starts at 5:15 p.m. with the Twin Mountain Tonesmen and the San Angelo Community Band singing and playing Christmas carols on the corner of Concho and Chadbourne.
At 6:00 p.m. sharp, it's the lighting of the 40-foot Community Christmas tree.
Following the tree lighting, it's the annual Lights of Christmas Parade.
According to Suzanne McGee, parade chairman, it should be a great parade with:
80 some entries
230 vehicles
over 1,000 people involved.
Like the name of the parade implies, all entries will be lighted, including Santa himself.
