Mark your calendars for the Veterans Day Parade, set to take place Saturday, November 4th, in downtown Abilene. The parade will follow its usual route.

Veterans Day is a very special day as we show our appreciation to our active-duty and retired military in many ways. One of those ways is many businesses offering a lot of great deals for our military to enjoy.

As a sign of 'thanks', many restaurants in the San Angelo area offer free (or discounted) meals for veterans and active military on Veterans Day, November 11th.

Angelo State University’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 847 will commemorate Veterans Day and honor the nation’s military veterans with a flag retreat ceremony and candlelight vigil on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the ASU flagpole and Memorial Oak Grove.

Most City offices will be closed this Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
