The Salvation Army of San Angelo is now taking applications for those who want to participate in the Angel Tree Toys for Tots program this season.

Michaels, 4451 Sunset Drive, in San Angelo is accepting holiday cards for active-duty military personnel .  Cards must be hand-made and include a heartfelt, handwritten message.  Glitter should not be used.

The reading will take place at 8:30 a.m. on the front steps of the Tom Green County Courthouse.
