St Patrick's Day for many conjures up a desire to let your hair down, do a little Irish Jig, and have some fun. It's certainly a very popular day to party!! Here are some ideas as to where in the San Angelo area you might want to celebrate.

Let's start with what promises to be a great night out for St. Patty's day with a big party being hosted by the Concho Pearl Icehouse as the very popular band Kin Faux will be taking the stage and offering up a great evening of live music and a fun celebration. The Concho Pearl Icehouse is located at 1605 South Chadbourne. For more information, call 325-617-7909.

From there let's take a look at Shenanigans Sports Bar, 3250 Sherwood Way. With a name like Shenanigans, you know they will be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day all day long, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. They will be offering green beer specials, along with specials on some of the traditional Irish drinks like Irish Fist Fights and Four-Leaf Clover Shots among others. You can also enjoy catfish plate specials.

Giz & Hum's, 1425 W. Beauregard Ave. will have green beer and Irish car bombs along with other drink specials. You can even enjoy a traditional Irish meal as they will be serving corned beef and cabbage.

Twin Peaks,1601 Knickerbocker Road, is having a St. Patty's costume party on Wednesday. They are also offering drink and shot specials.

You might want to celebrate downtown where Whiskey River Saloon, located at 125 E. Concho will be ready to entertain you with a DJ starting at 9 pm and plenty of green beer until closing time.

The Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria & Taproom at 200 S. Magdalen St. will have its St. Patrick's Day event from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday with plenty of green beer and be sure to check out their cheesy bread special.

Even Starbucks is getting in on the St Patty's day spirit with offerings like the Lucky Leprechaun Frappuccino and numerous other frappuccino flavors on special.

Whatever you do if you get out to celebrate St. Patrick's day, be sure to drink responsibly and wear your green!!
