Shannon Host Drive-thru Flu & COVID Shot Clinic
Shannon Clinic is hosting a drive-thru flu and COVID shot clinic this Thurs, Oct 7th through Sat, the 9th in the Ball Field parking lot, located at the corner of South Jackson and University Avenue in San Angelo.
It was just days ago on Sept 30th that I posted a story where the nation's top health experts with the CDC are urging everyone that even if you've had the COVID vaccine, you still need to get a flu shot as well.
The focus has been centered around the COVID vaccine because of the pandemic that we have been going through, but before COVID the concentration was on getting your annual flu shot. America's health experts are reminding everyone that you still need to get that flu shot.
Flu cases have dropped off significantly during the pandemic. But the big concern now is with schools and businesses reopened, international travel resuming and far less masking this fall, an outbreak of the flu is much more likely and there is concern among health experts as to the possibility of a huge resurgence of the flu which would put extra pressure on hospitals already struggling with COVID-19 surges.
Shannon's drive-thru clinic will be in operation from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 7th and 8th and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 9th. COVID vaccines will be available for ages 12 and up and are free. Patients may pay $35.00 per flu shot and the clinic will accept and file insurance. No appointment is necessary. Cash, Check and insurance accepted.
