San Angelo’s Top Rated Restaurant Getting 2nd Location
We talk a lot in San Angelo when new chain restaurants come to town or opens a second location. For example, a lot of people responded on social media when we reported that Chipotle is already opening a second San Angelo location and the first one isn't even open yet.
Here's something that might be even better. How about a second location of a popular LOCAL restaurant? That's exactly what's happening with Zero One Alehouse. Zero One is a classic alehouse in downtown San Angelo. It is one of the first places many companies bring potential out-of-town new employees, when they want to show what San Angelo has to offer.
Zero One Alehouse has applied for a building permit and inspection report to construct a new Zero One Taproom at 59 Koenigheim Street, which used to be the location of this sandwich shop until about a year ago.
This second location will be more of a hangout spot, according to Zero One's Facebook page. It will specialize in lighter items like sandwiches and finger foods. The great news is that they will sell only house made beers from the main location downtown at this location. Plus, they will have an extensive wine list from various wineries.
What could be better than a second location of a landmark San Angelo business? Construction on the new locations is expected to take about three months. This puts the completion date sometime during football season While announcements of all the new national chain restaurants coming to San Angelo in recent months have been exciting, getting a second location of Zero One is something to really get worked up about.
