RTX Sunday Video — Jon Wolfe ‘I Don’t Dance’
If you like real, traditional country music, and if hard core boot scootin’ is your thing – Jon Wolfe is your guy. Jon’s quickly becoming known as a one of the few purists in the Texas scene, well and also for putting out great music. And this week Jon Wolfe lands our RTX Sunday Video.
Jon’s live shows are just as good or even better than you’d expect. High energy and a notoriously packed dance floor are trademarks of one, so even if you “don’t dance,” there’s a good chance you will be spending at least a portion of the night trying to.
Jon has got shows coming up this week (8/29) at Electric Cowboy in Tyler, and next week (9/4) at Fiddlestrings in San Angelo, Denim and Diamonds in Wichita Falls (9/6) and at Flores Country Store in Helotes (9/8) with Roger Creager and Aaron Watson. His current single “It All Happened in a Honky Tonk” is sitting pretty at No. 14 on the Texas Regional Radio Report, with Top 5 well within it’s sight.
This week for the RTX Sunday Video we’re highlighting “I Don’t Dance” a recent Top 5 for Wolfe, and probably my favorite off his “It All Happened in a Honky Tonk” album.
From my January 2012 interview with Jon, how about an RTX-xtra? What country music star covered one of Jon’s songs on his new album “It’s All Good?” Press play to find out.
