Reba McEntire is the latest country star to join the voice cast of an animated feature, as various outlets reported Tuesday (Jul. 23). The superstar will lend her talents to Fox Animation's Spies in Disguise, which will hit theaters this Christmas Day.

The movie is helmed by actor/musician Will Smith, who plays a spy tasked with saving the world. The project, based on an original animated short, Pigeon: Impossible, is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane; other notable musicians involved with the project are Mark Ronson, who serves as executive music producer for the film, and DJ Khaled.

There's no word yet on what character McEntire will be lending her voice talents to, but she's "so excited" about the project according to a Tuesday tweet. The movie will doubtless be a lot of fun, and she's following in this year's footsteps of some of her favorite people—daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson and unofficial relative Blake Shelton (who is managed by McEntire's stepson Brandon Blackstock) who recently voiced characters in the animated feature UglyDolls.

McEntire, along with Brooks & Dunn, have added new dates to their Las Vegas residency for this coming winter. They've wrapped up summer dates in Sin City, but McEntire will perform select headlining shows throughout the United States through September before heading back to Las Vegas for the second part of the residency.
