Pet of the Week – Roscoe

This week's pet of the week is a very sweet German Shepherd mix named Roscoe.

Roscoe was already scheduled to be euthanized last year when PAWS pulled him from the shelter to give him the second chance he deserves.  He was adopted but after a year with his new family, they had to make the decision to give him up when their circumstances changed.  Roscoe is very friendly and he greets all the visitors at PAWS with a wag and smile.

Roscoe is approximately 3 years old.  He loves other dogs of all sizes.  At the last adoption event, he made good friends with a tiny chihuahua/terrier mix.  He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready for a forever home.

Please come by and see Roscoe at PAWS today.  If you can't make it by today, join them for their adoption event this Saturday, October 10 at Sunset Mall from 12pm-4pm.  PAWS has several new faces for you to meet.  They have pit puppies, shepherd mixes, rotts, chihuahuas, shih tzus, terriers, beautiful cats, kittens and more.

Registration for the Town Square Media Mutt Strut is now open on the PAWS website.  This is a very important fundraiser and the goal is to raise $15,000 for veterinary expenses which is the single largest expenditure for PAWS.

PAWS spends $60-$75,000 annually on vet care.  Registration is only $10 for individuals or you can put a team together.  Once you've registered, encourage your friends and family to support you in raising money for PAWS.
