
Nature Center offers Spring Break Day Camps on March 17-18
The San Angelo Nature Center’s spring break day camp offers a behind-the-scenes look at the care of its animals along with games, crafts, movies and more.
The camp, themed “Keeper for a Day!,” will be from 8 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, March 17, for kindergartners through second-graders; and Wednesday, March 18, for third- through sixth-graders.
Pre-registration is required. Only 20 children will be accepted each day. To register, call 325-942-0121 or visit the Nature Center at 7409 Knickerbocker Road from noon-5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. All fees must be paid in advance before Saturday, March 14.
The cost is $20 for Nature Center members and $25 for non-members, with a 10-percent discount for each additional child per household.
Annual family memberships to the Nature Center are $25.
The San Angelo Nature Center is a collection of animals that are native to the Southwest, along with related exhibits and information. Among the animals are bobcats, skunks, a porcupine, hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, lizards and snakes.
