Fans who have been on the edge of their seats waiting for Miranda Lambert's long-anticipated new album now have yet another exciting new reason to look forward to the project: The singer's fellow country star -- and fellow Texan -- Maren Morris will make an appearance on one of its songs.

Lambert tells iHeartRadio that she wrote the duet with the songwriting collaborative the Love Junkies, which consists of Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey. "I knew from the second we were writing it that I would love to have Maren on it," the singer recounts. "It popped in my head right away, before the song was even done. So, I asked her to come in and sing on it."

Lambert goes on to explain that she got the idea for the song, a "girl anthem" called "Too Pretty for Prison," from her friendship with another female country heavy-hitter: "It was actually inspired by [Little Big Town]'s Karen Fairchild," Lambert continues. "We were having a wine night, and I always tell all of my friends leaving, 'Don't leave if you've been drinking, because you're too pretty for prison.' So thanks, Karen, for sharing that wine bottle with me and for taking an Uber."

"Too Pretty for Prison" isn't the only song from her upcoming album that Lambert wrote with the Love Junkies. The ace songwriting trio also co-wrote her latest single, "It All Comes Out in the Wash," which dropped on Thursday (July 18). The singer tells Billboard that the just-released new track stems from an old saying that's long held a place in her family.

"I was like, 'You know what? Everything's fine. No matter what happens, it all comes out in the wash,'" Lambert explains. "Which is something my mom and grandma would always say -- and it's true. Everything finds a resolve, and at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. My last record went through a lot of the trials to tribulations I had been going through personally, and I feel like I'm kind of over the hump, and this song represents that in a really great way."

Further details of Lambert's new album have yet to be announced. However, she says the record will be out this fall.
